HOORAY! DOORS OPEN

The Lea Valley Art Society is once again allowed to open its doors to all members.
On Friday 3rd September the Lea Valley Art Society welcomed back many of its members after 18 months.  Members displayed to each other their lockdown sketches & paintings, and a good catch up was held by all over tea, coffee & cake.
LVAS is now open every Friday from 2pm to 5pm at the Scout Hut in Wormley.  New members are welcome.

THE GOLDEN PALETTE AWARD 2021

This week the Lea Valley Art Society had a good number of submissions despite the fuel traffic problems.  The subject was "Marine"

The winner was Val Gudge, who produced a wonderful pastel painting of a harbour.  The trophy was presented by Malcolm Norris, Chairman of the Lea Valley Art Society.

15 members of the Society each produced a small section of a Mediterranean Landscape by Picasso.

The Golden Pallete Award 2022

The Lea Valley Art Society had a good number of entries today with a real variety of blooms.

Congratulations to Maggie Gibbs for her spectacular image of a Poppy in acrylic ink on canvas.  The Trophy was presented by Joan Facey.

HAPPY AND GLORIOUS

Members of the LVAS recently took part in painting a large portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.  The painting can be viewed at the Parish Church of St. Catherine and St Paul in Hoddesdon (opposite Morrison's) on Thursday 2nd. Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of June 2022.
